Based in and around Bristol and South Gloucestershire, we support thousands of vulnerable and underserved young people each year. As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in guiding our organisation, ensuring that we effectively use our resources to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

“I think it’s really important that youth work is recognised and is supported and…supports young people. It’s really interesting working with the other trustees because fundamentally you’re a team and you all come from different backgrounds.”

Jo Grant, Trustee

Who We’re Looking For

We believe our board should reflect the diverse communities we serve. We especially welcome applications from individuals who bring:

  • Diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including those from global majority backgrounds, people with experience of disability, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • A genuine passion for youth empowerment and improving the lives of young people.

You don’t need to have been a Trustee before – we provide full training, cover expenses, and offer comprehensive support.

While not essential, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience in:

  • Finance
  • Youth services (operational management)
  • Safeguarding
  • HR/Legal
  • Creative industries / commercial
  • Property management / development

We’re looking for trustees who represent the local area but we do have hybrid meetings so if you have the skills and experience but live further away then please do still apply.

What’s Involved?

This is a voluntary role where you’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative board. The main board meets four times a year for 2-3 hours, with the option to attend online or in person, other optional meetings throughout the year.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you are excited by the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people and contribute to a leading youth charity, we encourage you to apply.

To apply, please send your CV and either a written statement of interest or a video explaining why you’d like to join our Board of Trustees to admin@creativeyouthnetwork.org.uk. We’re accepting applications on a rolling basis.
