About The Role

The aim of this role is to support CYN’s work in Bristol & South Gloucestershire. Casual Youth Workers cover staff absence and can also support with emerging temporary projects.

This role will be based in the Youth Services team and will be part of the team delivering positive activities to young people through our main areas in The Station, Hillfields, Barton Hill, City Centre, Hanham, Kingswood, Cadbury Heath, Emersons Green and Bitton, as well as supporting with projects in the community and schools.

Creative Youth Network is an award-winning charity with a mission to enable young people to reach their potential, no matter what their background or circumstances. Operating across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, we offer a range of services ranging from our 10 local youth clubs, to targeted support for young people with specific needs, work within schools (in particular for young people at risk of disengaging from education), and an exciting range of creative courses, programmes and activities, including early career support for young people embarking on careers in the creative sector. Our services are rated “Outstanding” by the National Youth Agency.

Placements

Creative Youth Network provides opportunities for students to complete placements within the organisation. From social work to creative therapy, artistic community practice to youth work, we welcome those learning and wanting hands-on experience in the sector. We will do our best to match availability with placement requests where there is capacity to provide meaningful and worthwhile experiences for students.

We are at capacity for placement requests for 2024. An expression of interest for placements in 2025 will be on the website soon.
