Caring For Someone

If you are a young person helping to look after someone else who struggles to look after themselves, you might be a young carer. We have sessions for you to just relax, learn something new and take a break.

What is it?

We run Young Carers sessions across Bristol which run every two weeks. The provide safe spaces to make new friends, have some fun and share worries with other young people in similar situations.

How does it work?

All sessions are free and run by our trustworthy youth workers who understand the problems you might be facing. There’s food, craft materials and we also go on occasional trips.

Who is it for?

These sessions are for anyone who is 11–19-year-olds and who is caring for someone else. This might be a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem. It could include physical or emotional help to a parent, brother, sister or other relative. You may do extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning or helping someone get dressed and move around.
