Looking to get creative? Explore our free courses, workshops and events for young people aged 11–25 across Bristol. Whether you’re interested in music, theatre or developing a creative career, there’s something for everyone
Creativity starts here
Creative Youth Network’s Creative Programmes offer free opportunities for young people aged 11–19 to explore creativity, develop new skills and connect with others in supportive, welcoming spaces across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Whether it’s theatre, creative writing, music or other creative arts, every programme is designed to encourage self-expression, build confidence and create a sense of belonging.
No previous experience is needed—just an interest in trying something new.

How do Creative Courses work?
A first line in a notebook. A first scene on stage. A first song. A first conversation.
Creative Programmes celebrate curiosity as much as creativity. Every programme offers something different, but each one is built around the same idea: creativity belongs to everyone.
Young people can:
- create, perform, write, make and collaborate
- discover new interests and hidden talents
- meet like-minded people in welcoming spaces
- build confidence through creativity
- work alongside professional artists and experienced youth workers
- develop skills that reach far beyond the creative arts
Some sessions lead to performances or shared projects. Others simply offer time to create, explore ideas and enjoy the process.
Who are Creative Courses for?
Creative Programmes are open to young people aged 11–19, with individual sessions designed for different age groups.
They are particularly suited to young people who would like opportunities to:
- discover or develop creative interests
- increase confidence and self-esteem
- meet new people in a supportive environment
- express ideas and experiences creatively
- take part in positive activities outside school.
