What Is Proud to Be?
At our Proud To Be sessions, all are welcome and each voice is heard. It is a safe space with like-minded young people where you can be free to express yourself.
How Does It Work?
Our weekly sessions are run by experienced youth work staff at The Station, a relaxed environment where you can help choose what happens in the session. We always have activities on offer, which you can get involved in as much or as little as you want, but we are always open to different ideas about what you’d like to do, as we want the group to be shaped by you! Activities include:
- Arts and crafts
- Cooking and trying out new recipes
- Social action projects
- Board games
- Trips
- Chilling out with friends and talking to our friendly youth workers.
Who Is It For?
Any young people aged 11-19 who identify as LGBTQIA+. Everyone is welcome whether you’re lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex or asexual, including those questioning their gender/sexuality. Sessions are neurodivergent-friendly.
