Creative Programmes
We believe in the power of creativity as a tool for self-expression and offer every young person we meet the opportunity to be creative. Our spaces are safe places for everyone to explore, experiment and express themselves, no matter what a young person’s age, experience or ability.
What do we offer?
We offer sustainable, impactful ways for young people to progress their creative skills and careers. We work with partners across the cultural, creative and education sectors and have a growing artists community made up of the region’s young and early career artists. So we see ourselves as a junction box for young people and creative opportunities!
How does it work?
From just getting started to beginning a professional career, we have a range of programmes and opportunities to support young people.
We think creativity is for everyone and that everyone can be creative. No matter what your age, experience or ability, we provide a safe space to explore, experiment and express yourself and discover what creativity means to you.

Creative Courses
For those of secondary school age, we offer free, practical courses in creative skills such as visual arts and theatre making. These are often a young person’s first interaction with creative practice where they can learn new skills, make new friends and develop confidence. There are also tangible outcomes, with the opportunity to earn an Arts Awards accreditation and perform in an end-of term showcase.
Creative Futures
For those aged 16 – 25 and eager to find their footing as an independent artist, maker or creative, Creative Futures is our residency programme. These opportunities help develop creative practice through masterclasses, mentoring, networking and paid commission opportunities. They end in a final sharing where new works are presented in a shared, public exhibition.
